The useful test is specific: can the product answer a client's question and complete an appointment by text or voice? Appointment reminders, marketing copy, analytics, and a link to a booking page are different capabilities.
Kirah answers questions and books by text and voice, fills cancellations, and works inside approval limits set by the owner. It is $49/month during early access, with the booking site and listed front-desk functions included. Fresha advertises AI Concierge for calls and messages. The Fresha pricing page lists Independent at $19.95/month and AI Concierge at $99.95/month per location, including 200 minutes and 500 messages before overages. The combined published subscription is $119.90/month before processing, overages, or marketplace fees.
Mindbody describes AI Concierge as a 24/7 front desk assistant that answers questions, responds to missed calls, and drives bookings. Mindbody pricing starts at $79/month per location. AI Concierge is shown in Ultimate and as an Accelerate add-on; those plan and add-on prices are not published.
GlossGenius markets Reception as answering calls and texts, collecting deposits, and booking or rescheduling on the calendar. Its pricing page lists Standard at $28/month, Gold at $56, and Platinum at $168 when paid monthly, but labels Reception as coming soon without a price. The Reception page describes it as available in the app. Confirm availability and price directly.
Vagaro's Connect AI costs $10/month and requires a Text Marketing plan. It answers business questions and cancels appointments. Vagaro states that it cannot see employee availability or schedule or reschedule; it sends the client a link.
Square Assistant lets clients confirm, cancel, or change appointments through SMS reminders. It updates the Square calendar but is not advertised as answering free-form business questions or taking appointment calls.
Booksy pricing lists online booking, reminders, marketing, payments, waitlists, and Reserve with Google at $29.99/month plus $20 per additional user. The current pricing page does not advertise a first-party conversational booking agent.
